District Manager

Job Summary:

The District Manager (DM) is responsible for overseeing the operations of multiple AutoZone retail locations within a designated district. This role focuses on ensuring sales growth, superior customer service, staff development, and adherence to company policies. The DM is accountable for store performance and plays a key role in recruiting, training, and retaining high-performing AutoZoners while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a district culture focused on customer satisfaction, sales growth, and retention.
• Attract, recruit, hire, train, and develop high-caliber store personnel.
• Ensure equal employment opportunities and promote workplace diversity.
• Monitor sales, cash flow, inventory, shrink, and expenses to maximize profitability.
• Develop and implement business plans to build customer base and control expenses.
• Conduct regular store and commercial account visits to evaluate operations and performance.
• Coach store managers using sales performance tools and culture training materials.
• Promote a safe work environment and enforce all safety standards, including PPE usage.
• Address customer concerns with a focus on turning complaints into compliments.
• Ensure compliance with AutoZone policies, including dress code and workplace behavior.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent; ASE Certification preferred.
• Strong integrity and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to drive customer service and operational excellence.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
