Responsibilities:

• Pilot large trucks with a strong dedication to promoting road safety and enhancing operational efficiency.
• Verify the vehicle's fitness for travel by conducting detailed pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Create optimized delivery schedules to increase productivity and meet time constraints.
• Guarantee safe transportation of goods through the implementation of correct handling and packaging procedures.
• Maintain lucid and consistent communication with both dispatchers and customers.
• Accurately document hours worked and perform routine vehicle maintenance checks consistently.
• Ensure full compliance with the safety regulations and guidelines outlined by the Department of Transportation (DOT).
• Make sure to report vehicle problems, occurrences, or infractions promptly to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

• A valid CDL for Class A commercial driving.
• Clear driving record reflecting the absence of major infractions.
• Abiding by the DOT's requirements for physical fitness evaluations and drug screenings.
• Having strong skills in time management and organization is essential.
• Capability in the secure and efficient movement of large or oversized cargo.
• Expertise in customer service with a particular focus on forming and sustaining relationships with customers.
• Emphasizing the importance of following safety protocols and complying with regulations, particularly in regard to reporting incidents in a timely manner.

Experience Levels Accepted:

• CDL Trainees
• CDL School Graduates
• Participants in our structured 12-week training program for new commercial drivers, designed to accelerate skill development for drivers with experience ranging from three months to five years.

Preferred Experience:

• Mastery in operating various trailer options, including dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker trailers.
• Expertise in managing the interconnected aspects of unit operations, combination vehicles, and multi-modal transportation solutions.
• Proficient in the transportation of household goods and specific shipments.
