Global Sourcing Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Global Sourcing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating direct import operations between Merchandising teams and the broader AutoZone organization, including international sourcing offices. This role supports the strategic goals of the Global Sourcing Plan by facilitating direct import processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing vendor relationships to ensure successful execution and integration of new suppliers and products.

Responsibilities:

• Manage supplier transition from opportunity identification through execution.
• Oversee the full cycle of import deals, from proposal to replenishment integration.
• Lead weekly meetings with international sourcing, quality, merchandising, and cross-functional teams.
• Conduct cost analyses, run Landed Cost Models (LCMs), and advise teams on direct import pricing and quotes.
• Coordinate project tasks such as vendor agreements, onboarding, quality validation, and packaging approval.
• Identify and implement improvements in the vendor transition process using project management tools like Workfront.

Requirements:

Required:

• Experience in direct import/sourcing, logistics, supply chain, or vendor management.
• Background in merchandising or the automotive aftermarket industry.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Self-motivated, goal-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred:

• Degree or coursework in International Business, Merchandising, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
• 1–2 years of sourcing or direct import experience.
• Experience with international travel, factory audits, or lean practices.
• Familiarity with Workfront project management platform.
• Mandarin Chinese language skills a plus.
