Warehouse Associate

Job Summary:

General Mills, Inc. is hiring a Forklift Operator at our Green Bay, WI plant. The Green Bay facility is a diverse and thriving operation that is expanding to meet the growing demand for popular products like Fruit Gushers and Fruit by the Foot. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for performing essential tasks within the production and warehouse operations, including forklift operation, loading products for shipment, and assisting in the storage of materials. This position requires flexibility to work in a 24/7 plant with a focus on safety, continuous improvement, and employee development.

Duties and Roles:

• Forklift operation within production and warehouse operations.
• Select, prepare, and load products for outbound shipment per customer specifications.
• Responsible for the storage of raw materials, ingredients, or finished products.
• Receive, unload, and inspect inbound ingredients and packaging materials.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance platform performance.
• Assist in training new employees.
• Ensure product quality by following all company and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting over extended periods of time.
• Ability to work at heights and use stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms.
• Must be able to wear protective clothing and equipment, including safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, and gloves when required.
• Willingness to adhere to grooming requirements for a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, and wet working conditions.
• Comfortable working around high-speed industrial machinery and allergens present in the food environment.
• Willing and able to work overtime, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
