Job Summary:

ALLDATA, a leader in OEM automotive repair and collision information, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer - Database Analysis & Modeling to join our dynamic team. This individual contributor role focuses on database architecture, design, and implementation, playing a critical role in supporting our web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge in relational databases, data modeling, and cloud-based data systems, and will be involved in full SDLC activities within Agile scrum teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance database schemas for web and mobile platforms.
• Define development tasks, write user stories, and estimate completion timeframes.
• Collaborate with testing teams and API developers to validate database implementations.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies: stand-ups, planning, grooming, demos, and retrospectives.
• Analyze data requirements from system design documents and wireframes.
• Lead logical data design using best practices for OLTP and OLAP systems.
• Create models for cloud-based data platforms (GCP, AWS) and migrate on-premise ETLs to cloud-native tools such as BigQuery.
• Build and maintain data marts and ensure proper use of normalization/denormalization strategies.

Requirements:

• B.S. in Computer Science or related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in database environment design and implementation.
• Strong understanding of Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and entity-relationship modeling.
• Hands-on experience with data modeling tools and practices in cloud environments.
• Proficient in SQL, PSQL, Java, Python, or .NET/C#.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and participating in scrum teams.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as SVN or GitHub.
• Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
