Processing Technician

Job Summary:

General Mills is seeking a motivated Processing Technician to join our manufacturing team in Kansas City, MO. You will support packaging and processing operations, equipment sanitation, and participate in startup, changeover, and shutdown procedures. This role requires flexibility to work rotational shifts and overtime as needed in a 24/7 plant environment.

Duties and Roles:

• Support processing operations and assist millers with system operation
• Operate, clean, and sanitize processing equipment and areas
• Start up and shut down milling operations (A/B & C mills)
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on milling equipment
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Train and support new employees

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 1 year of mechanical or technical experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing/production preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods
• Comfortable working at heights and in various conditions (hot, cold, wet, noisy, dusty)
• Ability to work around industrial high-speed machinery and food allergens
• Must adhere to food manufacturing grooming and safety requirements
